Hotel Tequendama

One of Colombia's oldest and most important hotels, the Hotel Tequendama is a Bogota icon. The challenge of updating its image focused on preserving its traditional feel while incorporating modern touches and creating a look that reflects current efforts to redefine this space as a haven of luxury and comfort.

Brand Story

On May 17, 1953, it was inaugurated with a banquet attended by the President of Colombia , Roberto Urdaneta Arbeláez . Between 1967 and 1970 , an expansion was carried out in the same style as the original building. This expansion moved the main entrance to Carrera Décima, gave the building a T-shaped floor plan, added several conference rooms , and doubled its capacity. For more than 50 years, the Hotel Tequendama was managed by the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) under the InterContinental Hotels and Resorts brand, hence the name by which it was known until 2007 as the Hotel InterContinental Tequendama.
