Makú
Makú is Shuko's wilder sibling. A Caribbean bar born in Santa Marta as a freer, more nocturnal, and more untamed extension of the Caribbean Nikkei universe. From Trinidad, we built a brand with a jungle spirit, inspired by the natural force of the land and the vibrant energy of the Caribbean. The ocelot—a feline native to the region—becomes the central symbol: agile, instinctive, and magnetic. It's not just a graphic identifier; it embodies the attitude of the place.

Brand Story
The visual identity is developed with bold, organic, and deliberately unpolished strokes. There's texture, there's movement, there's character. We wanted the brand to feel alive, almost roaring. A fresh and contemporary graphic style that balances the wild with the sophisticated, connecting with an audience that seeks experiences, not just consumption. Makú is not a quiet or restrained bar. It's a space that celebrates the night, the mix, the warmth, and the intensity of the Caribbean. Its identity breathes jungle, rhythm, and freedom.
